Mario Kart

Note that Class 1 will be in the AM and Class 2 will start in the afternoon. We highly recommend you get here early and stay afterwards to enjoy the ammenities of Marshalltown as well as visit with our sponsors and coaches at the college level!

Valorant

There will be plenty of break time in between rounds for students and teams to get food, visit with colleges and sponsors, and explore Marshalltown!

League of Legends

Parking & Registration

Parking will be in the parking lot East of the Orpheum. There is enough room there for buses, other school vehicles and spectators. 

Registration will now be in the front of the Orpheum underneath the marquee. Please use that entrance when coming in (and take photos under the lights that night!).

Registration for Overwatch 2 will begin at 8am and the Winter Finals will start at 9am each day.

Registration for Rocket League will be at Noon and the Winter Finals will start at 1:30pm each day.

The Black Box and Auditorium

Above: The Emerson Auditorium. This is where part of the tournament will be held and will be the site for the 3rd place matchup for all events.

Below: The MechDyne Black Box. This will be where part of the tournament is held and will be the site for all of the championship matches.

For League and Valorant, there are 40 computers organized in 4 pods. 

For Mario Kart, there will be two stations in each room.

Student teams will be assigned to certain spots each round so students. Students will be moving around throughout the day so make sure parents and spectators know where you will be playing in person and on the livestream!

Students will need to log into their accounts or their school accounts however the game was purchased. If a student is using a console (Mario Kart is the exception), please let us know at contact@iahsea.org so we can make sure to accommodate your players.

Teams need to bring their own keyboards, mice and headsets. If you're bringing a controller to play on PC, please make sure it is wired. 

There are no supplementary materials for play other than the PC and monitor.
Make sure all additional things (keyboards, mice, headphone) are brought with! 


Mario Kart

We are strongly encouraging everyone to bring their own Switch and their own dock for the Switch that can be labeled with your team's name on it. Teams may be moving around with their Switch to play against other teams, but we would like the docks to remain in their location. 

TVs will be provided (40 inch TVs is the current plan for most of the pods). 

Milk Toast!

Champions on the night will be able to toast to their victories in front of the Midwest Dairy backdrop! 

State Clothing

Imagine That in Clarion will once again be selling merchandise for the event! They will take cash, Venmo, and credit/debit card.

Food Options

We will have a more diverse selection this season including food from Sub City, and more! This is in thanks of the Marshalltown Booster Club. They will be able to take cash or Venmo.

Marshalltown also has many food and amenities a short distance from the venue. Some of the Chamber of Commerce's partner restaurants can be found here. Some discounts may be available for state participants at select locations! More to come! 

Student and Spectator Hangouts

We will have spots for students to congregate and set their stuff down while they are waiting. This will be across from The Black Box. We are also developing a student lounge one block away that will have board, card, and video games at. Stay tuned for more info on this!

We will also have a spot for our colleges to visit with students, sponsors to show off the latest and greatest in esports and more! This will be in the upstairs classroom area. We will have several colleges who are interested in getting students for their rosters! This will be on the second floor of the Orpheum.
